We are First Draft Detroit. We are a creative non-profit located in the Metro Detroit area, with a mission to support local creatives. We do this through free events often located at coffee shops, libraries, and community centers, as well as online meetings on Discord and Zoom, primarily in the month of November. We are hoping to host events more frequently throughout the year starting in 2025.

Creatives of all types are welcome: writers, painters, digital artists, fiber artists, and various crafters as examples.

We rely solely on donations to fund our events, as some of them are at places with room rental fees. We also use donations to pay for fun things like buttons, pins, t-shirts, book marks, posters, and more!

Donations to First Draft Detroit are tax deductible! Just ask for a receipt if you donate in person.
