Welcome to First Draft Detroit!
The writer has their outline. The painter, a doodle. A musician may hum a little tune and the knitter browses for patterns. No matter the artist, no matter the art, everything starts with the hardest part: the first draft. Many a creator has been stymied by the blank page staring back at them. But not here! Not with us!
First Draft Detroit is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to providing community support to creatives of all stripes in the Metro Detroit area. We have a thriving online community as well as in person events both for socializing, and for sitting together and working on individual projects. We have writers, visual artists, fiber artists, crafters, gamers and more!
